World Mental Health Day Organised by PILL Lahore

An engaging awareness session was held on 21st October, 2025 at the Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences, University of the Punjab, to mark World Mental Health Day 2025. Miss Iqra Hassan, Research Assistant at the Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL), delivered an insightful presentation highlighting this year’s global theme , “Access to Mental Health Services in Emergency Situations.”

She emphasized the importance of Psychological First Aid, timely emotional support, and compassion during crises , explaining how these efforts can reduce the risk of long-term mental health challenges.
discussing how each of us can contribute to promoting mental health awareness and ensuring that mental health services are accessible to every member of society.
The session also featured an interactive activity conducted by Miss Faiza, where students wrote powerful messages of hope and encouragement for individuals going through difficult times.
Their heartfelt words reflected empathy, care, and the belief that even a few kind words can ignite resilience and healing.

Together, we take a step toward a future where mental health care is accessible, compassionate, and inclusive for all.
