Breast Cancer Champoin Recruitment Drive in KMU Peshawar

Under the Defeat Cancer Program, the Breast Cancer Champion Recruitment Drive started at Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar. On this occasion, Dr. Zaini Azam, Senior Breast Registrar and Consultant Breast Surgeon at KMU Hospital, conducted a training session on Breast Self-Examination (BSE) for students and newly recruited champions. A total of 55 Breast Cancer Champions from the Department of Public Mental Health, KMU Peshawar, have joined the cause and are committed to spreading awareness about breast cancer and supporting patient recruitment for the “Moving On After Breast Cancer” initiative. Together, they aim to empower communities through awareness, education, and early detection.
