Roadshow: Paint Your Life Pink Again – Awareness and Engagement Session at Rawalpindi Women University – Rawalpindi

Under the “Paint Your Life Pink Again” roadshow, an awareness session on breast self-examination, early detection, referral and breast cancer champion recruitment was held at Rawalpindi Women University. The event was attended by more than 100 students. Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL) Rawalpindi team conducted the session, sharing an overview of PILL’s ongoing work, its mental health research, and the “Moving on After Breast Cancer (NIHR205561)” project. The discussion also emphasized the importance of mental well-being and psychological support for women after breast cancer. Ms. Arshia Mukhtar Clinical Psychologist and Researcher delivered comprehensive talk on Breast cancer. Dr. Sobia Masood Chairperson Psychology Department RWU highlighted the importance of student’s engagement in community service and encouraged the students to become Breast Cancer Ambassadors carrying message to friends, family and community at large. Students must work on identification of participants for research on Life after breast cancer. Mr. Adnan Chohan discussed nation wide recruitment of Champions for breast cancer awareness. Around 20 Students made a pledge to volunteer for awareness and become Champion for the Cause.
