Awareness Session at Institute of Psychiatry
On 30th January 2026, an awareness session was held at the Institute of Psychiatry Rawalpindi with the nursing staff of the Cardiology Department and Psychiatry Department of Benazir Bhutto Hospital, as well as nursing students from Shifa College of Nursing. A total of 20 participants were invited to attend the session. Pre- and post-assessment forms were completed by the participants. During the session, participants shared examples of cardiac-related issues within their families and discussed potential causal factors. The Head Nurse of the Cardiology Department at BBH shared her views on the early signs and symptoms of cardiac conditions and highlighted the importance of the mental health component in cardiac health.
