About Us

Pakistan institute of Living and Learning (PILL) is actively involved in the translation and relevant cultural adaptation of manuals and assessment tools. The adapted manuals and tools are used in the psychosocial intervention-based trials for the studies taking place at PILL.  Psychosocial interventions are a valued dimension of immediate and long-term disaster responses all over the world. Psychological recovery is recognised as a focus for relief and rehabilitation efforts. There is a need to train people in supporting the general population who are struggling to cope with loss, disruption, and tragedy.

The adaptation of manuals is important for research work. It will help researchers to deliver intervention and form standardized in research procedures. The manuals can be adapted by translation into Urdu and other local languages such as, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi and Pashto.
