Dr. Tayyeba is a Clinical Psychologist, working as the Assistant Director of Research and Development at the Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning.
Research Interests:
- Cultural adaptation of psychosocial interventions.
- Engagement with lived experience experts.
- Qualitative research.
Key Achievements:
- Managed an MRC-funded multicentre trial on suicide prevention in adults as a Trial Manager.
- Served as Co-applicant and Intervention Lead for the MRC-funded multicentre trial on youth suicide prevention.
- Collaborated with colleagues in the UK and Pakistan to develop suicide prevention guidelines and a national suicide prevention strategy for Pakistan, launched by the Minister of Health, Pakistan.
- Led the first trial of Moving on After Breast Cancer Plus (Moving on ABC Plus) in Pakistan.
Capacity Building and Training:
Dr. Tayyeba is actively involved in building research capacity in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria. She also leads training programmes, particularly in qualitative research.
