Integrated Psychosocial Care Programme for Breast Cancer Survivors
The PILL team leading the Integrated Psychosocial Care Programme for Breast Cancer Survivors with Comorbid Depression in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs)—funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR205561)—participated in a training on Motivational Interviewing facilitated by Dr. Salman Shahzad and Dr. Noor ul Zaman. This capacity-building initiative was planned on 26th May and 11th June 2025 for 55 plus participants who came together to explore the fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing, discovering how simple shifts in conversation can open doors to deeper connection, collaboration, and participation. Through interactive sessions and reflective dialogue, attendees began to uncover how MI can transform everyday conversations—shifting from directing to guiding, from telling to listening, and from resistance to readiness.
