PRADA Event 2026
Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL), in collaboration with Ziauddin University, organized a lecture and in silico lab session titled “Defining Disease Through Biomarkers: From Multiple Sclerosis to Cancer Detection” on 11th June 2026.
The session was led by Dr. James R. Larkin, PRADA Project Manager (UK), who discussed the PRADA project (Prescribing the Right Agent for Depression in Adults), funded by the Wellcome Trust, and highlighted the importance of biomarkers and recent advances in metabolomics-based biomarkers.
The session brought together faculty, students, and researchers to explore the role of biomarkers in disease understanding, diagnosis, and early detection, while fostering meaningful discussions on emerging developments in medical research, with particular emphasis on personalized treatment approaches such as the PRADA project and its implementation in Pakistan.
