Carol is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Public Health, at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. Carol is a midwife and researcher with a strong focus on women’s health during pregnancy and birth. She is currently the lead for Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI) for the NIHR Global Health Research Unit into the prevention and management of stillbirth and neonatal death in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. This role encompasses needs assessment, development of CEI, training, mentoring and providing ongoing support. In addition, Carol provides expert support and advice in CEI to others globally.
