Dr. Noor ul Zaman

Noor ul Zaman Rafiq is National Director of Mental Health Household Survey with Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning. He is working in the field of Research & Development specifically in Public Health & Epidemiology and Substance Use Prevention and Treatment for more than two decades. He is Credentialed International Addiction Professional for Treatment and Recovery Support. He is also certified in Health System Strengthening from Switzerland and Community Development from Cardiff University, Wales, UK. He has conducted more than 50 researches in the field of mental health including substance use disorders, sexual & reproductive health, HIV and AIDS Behavioural & Biological Surveillance, Hepatitis Prevalence, Health System Strengthening, Education with multi-sectoral integrated development. He had reviewed a number of curricula specially designed for various health including mental health and public health. He teaches students of various academia in Pakistan. He remained member of Ethical Review Board of University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore for Academic Research. As a trainer, he has conducted more than 800 trainings/ sessions for national and international organizations including UNODC, Colombo Plan, UNICEF, UNESCO etc. He heads an organization named Phoenix Foundation for Research & Development (PFRD) and Director of Safeway Mental Health and Drugs Rehabilitation Centre.
