Ms. Miv Riley

Miv Riley trained at Whittingham Hospital and qualified in 1980, She worked as Sister Acute Psychiatry, In Sixth-form as teacher, teaching Health and Social Care, Returning to the NHS as a Nurse Assessor and then Community Mental Health Nurse. She has now worked within the Early Intervention Team for psychosis for 10 years as a senior care coordinator. The role in EIS is recovery focused, using Psychosocial Interventions and CBT Informed Case management. She is also learning Representative for the RCN. Prior to retuning to Nursing, Miv took a degree in Applied Psychology, Diploma in Counselling, Neurolinguistics. and a certificate in CBT and is a qualified teacher. She has additionally completed a master’s in research (Mental Health) and a Further in Masters Advanced Practice in Mental Health Psychosocial Interventions for Psychosis. Miv has presented posters at conferences in Madrid and Manchester. She has also had an article recently accepted by the BJN on Psychosis.
