Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening Event organized in Peshawar

The Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning conducted its first community awareness and outreach session under the Defeat Cancer Campaign in Village Chowki Drab. A total of 76 community members (51 females and 25 males) actively participated in the session focused on breast cancer awareness, early detection, and prevention.
The community showed commendable interest and engagement. During the session, 5 breast cancer survivors, 4 burn survivors, and 1 individual experiencing psychosis were identified and provided informed consent for further support and intervention.
This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting health education and early detection at the grassroots level.
