Peshawar Breast Cancer Awareness Session With LHWs

Under the Moving on ABC (NIHR 205561) Defeat Cancer Initiative, a Breast Cancer Awareness and Breast Self-Examination (BSE) Training Session was conducted today, 12 September 2026, at CD Rashid Ghari, Peshawar.

The session was attended by 30 Lady Health Workers (LHWs) and 2 Lady Health Supervisors (LHSs). The training focused on breast self-examination (BSE), recognition of breast cancer warning signs, and the importance of timely referral.

The trained LHWs and LHSs will support community-level breast cancer awareness and BSE promotion and facilitate the identification and recruitment of potential participants for the Moving on ABC project.
