Zanzibar Tanzania: Global Engagement In Still Birth Bereavement Support Programme & Neonatal Deaths in Pakistan

On 15 September 2026, on behalf of Dr. Tayyeba Kiran, findings from Pakistan’s contribution to the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on the Prevention and Management of Stillbirth and Neonatal Death in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia were presented at the 17th East, Central and Southern Africa College of Nursing and Midwifery (ECSACONM) Biennial Scientific Conference in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
The presentation, titled “Consensus Exercise to Co-develop a Multicomponent Bereavement Support Programme for Stillbirth and Neonatal Deaths in Pakistan,” highlighted the collaborative process used to develop a culturally appropriate, multicomponent bereavement support programme informed by the perspectives and experiences of key stakeholders.
